Agistment

There is no actual agistment places set up in Merredin. It is more who you know. I would be happy to have people contact me (Maxine Brown Email or 0417 973 911) and I can point them in direction of people I know (who can also point you in other directions!)

I know that there is a couple who have recently purchased some land on the outskirts of town and are planning on setting up and agistment centre. As yet though its not set up.

** Please note: if you horse requires specialised feed, any of these stores can get it in, you just need to order it! Once they know you are buying it regularly they are happy to keep regular stock of the particular item. If you know that you are going to run out, ring the store to ensure they have the item in store or order it in before you runout, sometimes it can take 2 weeks for it to arrive. You just need to plan ahead!

Hay Suppliers:
Numerous farmers in the district are more that willing to sell good (alot of the time export quality) quality oaten or wheat hay (export sized bales for bulk hay, round bales or small squares). Please dont hesitate to contact me and I can pass on names and phone numbers (I dont have permission to put them on the Website). Please note that out here we dont have meadow hay (as many places down south have). Its not practical to make it here as generally we dont get the rain and pasture growth required to make it.
